With a greater emphasis increasingly being placed on sustainability throughout Asia, Archetype Group has signed an agreement to partner with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on EDGE, a software standard and certification system for emerging markets. This partnership with IFC, which is a member of the World Bank Group, aims to encourage clients in the Asia Pacific region to assess their projects with the free EDGE software. This software, which is the first of its kind in the world, is an innovative tool that can be used to determine the financial viability of a green building project at the early design stage.
The IDEC Group was formed in 2000 in Blois by a team of enthusiasts – architects, designers, builders, and engineers. Initially specializing in the construction of industrial and logistics buildings, the company rapidly diversified to become of the few global property firms in the French market, working in every business sector and with all sorts of jobs. Today, it is present in several countries supporting its customers in the planning, development, design-construction, investment and creation of energy-related solutions.
In 2020, IDEC Asia was born from the association of two real estate experts with complementary skills: Archetype Group and IDEC Group, to propose turnkey (EPC) solutions with (or without) financing to selected industrial clients. This approach is quite a unique proposal to support the development of our Clients abroad, with an exceptional international footprint. IDEC Asia relies on the combination of IDEC expertise and Archetype local-based engineering knowledge to provide the best-suited solutions for land-use planning, investing, developing, designing, and constructing buildings for our client in Asia in the sectors of logistics, food, and pharma among others.

LEED works for all buildings—from homes to corporate headquarters—at all phases of development. Projects pursuing LEED certification earn points across several areas that address sustainability issues. Based on the number of points achieved, a project then receives one of four LEED rating levels: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
The Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) is the certifying body for sustainable design and building in Vietnam through its LOTUS certification systems. LOTUS is a set of voluntary market-based green building rating systems developed by the VGBC specifically for the Vietnamese built environment.
LOTUS rating systems are based on various international green building rating systems (LEED, Green Star, BREEAM, GBI, Green Mark, etc.) and have the following goals to:
- Establish standards and benchmarks specific to Vietnam
- Guide the local construction industry towards efficient use of natural resources
- Introduce and promote environmentally friendly practices
